Billie's Help Page for Pain Understanding was founded April 5, 2001 by Billie Boyer to help those who, like herself, suffer chronic pain. Her mission was to provide information and a voice for those the who had none. Over the years her dream has not changed. BHP still provides information, friendship and a voice for chronic pan sufferers.

Our forum is moderated on a daily basis. We try to have a staff member online at all times. The Administrators, Sr Managers, Assistant Managers and Moderators are all volunteers. They include retired or disabled medical personell, former social workers, retired teachers and some who are still employed in other fields. Our staff members use the following aliases: billieboyer990, reetiredx3, EvieJo, Deerlover, Lynette, Sara, catspajamas, Snickers, Grumpy, TheeInJunJo, r52snowball, and Zacks1nana.

Neither staff nor members are considered health professionals. Should a health professional give medical information as a platform user, his status as a medical professional will be identified. Information on this site is meant to complement and not replace any advice or information from any health care professional! All medical information must be posted by Administrators or Sr Managers. Each article is reviewed and copyright information and other pertinent information is included along with the original date of publication and/or updates when available. If any copies of information found here are made, we suggest that the member make only one copy for their own personal usage. Nothing can be made for commercial benefit.

All members are required to read and sign our GROUP RULES. The management reserves the right to edit or delete any post deemed not suitable or in violation of copyright rules. Continued violation of the rules may result in the member being warned or banned, depending on the violation. We are a family friendly site and all posts must be G-rated. This includes any links to off-site materials. Therefore, there are no age restrictions on this site.

This is and will always be a free site for those with chronic pain and in need of support. Any costs in acquiring a domain and hosting fees are paid by Administration alone. There is no advertising found on this site and none is allowed in the members' posts, links or banners.

Ir regards to privacy, confidentiality is essential. Please note that we do not share any personal information like emails with any third parties. Please refer to our PRIVACY POLICY. Members should note however, that this is an open forum and any posts they make are subject to be read, copied or otherwise used by anyone. Registered members are able to delete or edit their own posts, but care should still be taken when posting. We also encourage NETIQUETTE for our staff and members.

Registered Users may contact any of the Administrators or other staff members by either PM or Email icons found on their profile page. Non-registered guests may find an email button on the front page.
