Here are some screen shots I hope will help you.

1. Look up at the top right corner of the forum and you will see User Control Panel. Click that.

2. When that opens you will see this information over to the left. Click on Profile.

3. Now you will see this information on the left. Click on Edit Avatar and on the information on the right you can do one of three things. Either browse your own computer for an avatar, or get one from somewhere on the web, or click on Display and you will see a bunch of them already in the gallery for you to choose from.

4. If you want to do your signature, do the same as above except click on the left on signature and on the right type in your signature or add a picture.
